DLF Studios is a creative studio founded by Donyel Le’Noir Felton, working at the intersection of photography, education, listening, and community storytelling. Rooted in nature and presence, the studio creates experiences and projects that invite people to slow down, observe, and connect—through image, sound, and shared space.
Meet
Donyel Le’Noir Felton
Donyel, owner of DLF Studios is a photographer, jazz radio co-host, published author, teaching artist and currently, Co-Editor of Network News, Digital Media Arts & Film major at Bay Path University and Education Program Coordinator at New England Public Media, Media Lab.
Growing up in Springfield, MA she was surrounded by different forms of art from attending art festivals her mom and music through her dad being local Jazz DJ, where she would join his live broadcast 90.7FM WTCC, starting at the age of six.
It was through her exposure of different forms of artistry and coming from a family of photographers & videographers, she knew at a very young age that she had a deep desire for capturing beautiful memories through the Art of Photography.
It all started with a disposable film camera and became an irreplaceable fulfillment and love, for the craft she now calls home. She has explored capturing moments & memories in many scenarios through experiences at a young age. From family to nature, street art, emotions through facial expressions and simply capturing the energy of a moment through an image. She simply wants to show you the world through her eyes, and always has.
Donyel has overcome and beat the odds of societal doubts, showing that following your passion and believing in yourself can lead to the ultimate personal success. Donyel is focusing on connecting with the Springfield community. As an emerging artist, with a desire to stand out and be as bold and free as she feels, she’s decided to focus on her truest passion of them all, nature photography. The fire that burns when she is capturing a moment in nature is like no other.
